My Approach
You will learn to..
When you’re feeling stuck, you want to move. You should and you need to. Does it feel impossible trying to break free from the echoes of painful past experiences? Is this unhelpful cycle leaving you with feelings of shame, guilt, overwhelm, isolation, regret, and fear? Do you feel unsafe and unable to connect with others, your body and/or your environment? Sometimes it can seem as though the problem is so big that it has to spill over into other areas of our lives, i.e. relationships, work, school, home or elsewhere. Trauma shows up as a reaction, and allowing yourself to move forward while processing the past is a delicate balance. In an attempt to prevent future pain, you may be keeping yourself from the here and now connection.
Increase feelings of success and well-being by using your mind, emotions and body to work for you and not against you. I work with adolescents and adults to break free from these emotional blocks. I’m here to support you in your journey so you can create a life that fits and that you deserve. Together, we can work to process your trauma through focusing on relieving the nervous system, integrating unresolved memories, and supporting both mind and body healing in order to prepare for resilience instead of a life absent of pain. I will not ask you to do something that I am not already doing or have not done myself. I’m a learner of you and your story. I’m here to provide you with the tools of building a life worth living. Don’t get stuck in the healing phase forever. Your lived-experience is always progressing, and as a result, so will your decisions.
No matter how distant it may feel, you are capable of being seen as your authentic self. Where is your power? What would it be like to acknowledge who you are and really choose to take that on? What would be different? Stay curious enough to consider what potential that future might hold.
